The Switch has received a fairly major update, and now allows you to do many things you couldn’t do before. You can now receive news for certain games by adding that game’s channel of information to your newsfeed. You can also receive notifications when friends go online, or find recently-paired controllers. New volume settings are available for headphones or speakers hooked up via the 3.5 mm jack as well. For users of Pro Controllers, or the 8bitdo pads, you can now use them in a wired mode to ensure a 1:1 response time – an ideal solution for the possible eSports scene for games like Splatton 2 and ARMS. This is a nice update and it smooths out the end-user experience a bit.
