Pokken Tournament has been available on the Wii U worldwide for about a year now, but its release at the end of the system’s lifespan doomed it to relative obscurity. Today’s Pokemon Direct revealed that the game will be coming to Switch in the form of Pokken Tournament DX. It will be playable in tabletop, TV, and handheld modes and also includes a new fighter. Decidueye from Sun and Moon will make its debut here, along with five new Pokemon – bringing the total to 20. All fighters are going to be unlocked from the start and team battle has been added to the mix. The full game will be released on September 22, with a free trial being made available on June 13 – so those who missed out on the game before will at least be able to get a taste for it.
