Kamiko has been called the best reason to make a Japanese Switch eShop account, but it was announced today that players across the globe won’t need to do that to play the game. Today, the game appeared with a North American eShop page alongside a release date. It’s a top-down action-adventure with a gorgeous shaded pixel art style, and is styled around Japanese Shinto beliefs. You’ll fight enemies and solve puzzles before battling a boss, and it looks like a must-own for overhead action fans.
On April 27, the game will be released for a mere $4.99. This brings it into impulse buy territory alongside Blaster Master Zero, where for a minimal cost, you can enjoy a full game on the device. We’ll definitely be picking it up and offering some impressions on it as close to day one as possible. Being able to get this without needing to make another Switch account is nice, because even though that isn’t too tough to do, it is a big more of a pain than it should be to get JPN eShop games.
